What are the best PTT accessories to enhance the user experience?

We recommend using a Bluetooth PTT button in combination with your existing bluetooth or wired headset. A Bluetooth Remote Speaker Microphones also provides a great user experience.

What is a Bluetooth PTT button?

It is a small and convenient Bluetooth button with one or more function buttons (push to talk, panic alarm, queue, repeat last message, etc.) that allows the user to speak or alert their group without picking up their phone.

What is a PTT headset?

It is either an electric / airtube headset with a cord or a Bluetooth headset with a PTT button on the cord or on the headset. This PTT accessory makes it convenient for the user to speak to their group without picking up their phone.

What is a Remote Speaker Microphone (RSM)?

It is a monophone with a built-in speaker, microphone, and PTT button (it may have additional buttons for panic alarm, queue request and volume control). It is available as either Bluetooth based or wired. This PTT accessory makes it convenient for the user to speak or alert their group without picking up their phone.

Can I use Push to Talk via earmuffs?

Yes, GroupTalk can be used in combination with earmuffs that have Bluetooth or a 3.5 mm connection. Some earmuffs have a built-in PTT button that works with GroupTalk, while other types of earmuffs can be supplemented with a Bluetooth PTT button.
