Search missions streamlined with GroupTalk
Missing People is a Swedish non-profit organization that has been active since 2012 when they were founded in Gothenburg. Today, Missing People is a nationwide organization with around twenty regional branches around the country. The core of the organization is all the volunteers who give their time to help in the search for missing people.
Each year, nearly 27,000 people are reported missing to the police in Sweden. Missing People’s work to find missing persons focuses on supporting the police and relatives by publishing missing person alerts and organizing search operations for those who have disappeared.
During an active search operation, the Local Response Team (LI) is responsible for planning the search effort and maintaining contact with relatives. Missing People conducts search operations in all environments (except at sea), which requires a communication system that is reliable, efficient, and tailored to their mission — and in that regard, GroupTalk is perfectly suited to the task.
