Explosion-proof PoC communication

Producing advanced biofuel involves complex and potentially hazardous environments where explosion-proof communication solutions are essential. To meet strict ATEX safety requirements, Silva Green Fuel needed reliable mobile devices and collaboration tools that could withstand demanding conditions while ensuring seamless team coordination.

To achieve this, Silva Green Fuel partnered with Ecom Pepperl+Fuchs, implementing Smart-Ex02 ATEX-certified handhelds, together with GroupTalk’s Business Critical Push-to-Talk (PTT) platform and Sensear ATEX earmuffs. The deployment was configured and supported by Longrange Network AS, a Norwegian communication specialist with extensive industry expertise.

This collaboration resulted in a robust, explosion-proof communication system that enhances safety, productivity, and teamwork for mobile workers in ATEX environments. By combining GroupTalk’s PTT solution with durable industrial hardware, Silva Green Fuel ensures continuous, reliable communication — even in high-risk zones.
