Zone 1: An area where an explosive atmosphere is likely to occur during normal operations,
requiring equipment designed to prevent ignition.

Zone 2: An area where an explosive atmosphere is unlikely but may occur for a short period of time. Equipment here must still meet strict safety standards.

Smart-Ex 03 is Pepperl+Fuchs' most innovative smartphone, operating on networks such as 5G / 4G and WiFi. The smartphone features programmable buttons for Push to Talk, alarm, and multifunction. The multifunction button can be configured for desired GroupTalk features, such as send a Ticket to Dispatcher, Repeat Last Message, or Mute, and more.

As Smart-Ex 03 operates on both public and private 5G and 4G mobile networks, it enables efficient work, large data transfer, and minimal latency (delay) for Push to Talk calls during collaboration. Smart-Ex 03 can be used worldwide in workplaces with an increased risk of explosion within Zone 1/21 & DIV 1, Zone 2/22 & DIV 2.

The RSM BT comes with an IP64 rating and a built-in noise reduction function. It is able to produce clear, high-volume audio (up to 103 dB). It has buttons for Push to Talk, panic alarm and volume control. The RSM is intuitive and easy to use, even when wearing gloves. It is intended for industrial applications and offers a rugged design. The RSM can be used worldwide in workplaces with an increased risk of explosion within Zone 1/21 & DIV 1, Zone 2/22 & DIV 2.
