PoC communication behind the scenes

They aim to create a portal to another time where visitors can get a glimpse of what happened during the period of 1875–1975. TimeWinder’s visitors can expect to see people driving 70-year-old cars, displaying weapons from the turn of the century, using tools that are over 100 years old, flying vintage aircraft, functionaries dressed in historical clothing, live performances, music, exhibitions, collections and much more. TimeWinder is created entirely through voluntary work — from grounds staff to team leaders and coordinators, everyone involved contributes on a volunteer basis.

For the fourth year in a row, TimeWinder is using the GroupTalk Push-to-Talk service to ensure smooth and reliable communication throughout the event. With GroupTalk, the entire operational team can stay connected in real time through structured group communication directly on their smartphones.

Coordination and efficiency in real time

This makes it easy to coordinate everything from drivers and logistics to safety teams, maintenance and visitor support — all with a single press of a button. At large-scale events like TimeWinder, fast and clear communication is not just a convenience, but a critical part of ensuring both efficiency and safety. GroupTalk helps reduce response times, prevents misunderstandings, and enables volunteers to quickly share updates, report incidents, and react to unexpected situations — even in noisy or high-pressure environments.

Whether it’s coordinating vehicle movements, handling operational changes on the fly, or alerting teams across the site, GroupTalk acts as the communication backbone that keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes.

Do you want to experience what machines have been used in the past, what unusual inventions have shaped human progress, or what people wore in different eras?
