Pepperl+Fuchs has now launched a new robust and modern Smart-Ex 03 smartphone certified for ATEX use in hazardous environments. Smart-Ex 03 is Pepperl+Fuchs' most innovative smartphone, operating on networks such as 5G / 4G / 3G / 2G and WiFi. The smartphone features programmable buttons for Push to Talk, alarm, and multifunction. The multifunction button can be configured for desired GroupTalk features, such as send a Ticket to Dispatcher (see video here), Repeat Last Message, or Mute, and more.

As Smart-Ex 03 operates on both public and private 5G and 4G mobile networks, it enables efficient work, large data transfer, and minimal latency (delay) for Push to Talk calls during collaboration. Smart-Ex 03 can be used worldwide in workplaces with an increased risk of explosion within Zone 1/21 & DIV 1, Zone 2/22 & DIV 2.
